With Too Hot to Handle set to return to our screens this spring, a former contestant has revealed what life is really like behind the scenes on the show.
Lydia Clyma, 23, from Portsmouth, took part in season one, which aired back in April 2020 and took the UK by storm thanks to its unusual theme.

The show sees a group of singletons shack up for four weeks in a luxury villa in Punta Mita, Mexico, in the hopes of finding love. But there’s a twist to win the $100K grand prize, they’ll have to give up kissing, touching and sex.
According to Lydia, the majority of the content she and the other contestants filmed wasn’t actually shown on TV, meaning viewers weren’t aware of everything that happened.
Contestants from series one tried their best to follow the rules, but Aussie Harry Jowesy and Canadian Francesca Farago hit headlines for breaking them countless times.
At one point, the couple blew $20K of the prize money on having sex.
