Armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, who has been named in a search warrant filed at a court in Santa Fe, New Mexico, on Friday as the person who laid out three prop guns on a cart outside a western film location, one of which killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.
Hannah is pictured here at a Mad Max Post-Apocalyptic Photo Meet in 2018 posted on Flickr. Assistant director Dave Halls was also named in the search warrant as the person who grabbed one of the guns from the cart and brought it inside to actor Alec Baldwin, unaware that it was loaded with live rounds.
Hollywood actor/producer Alec Baldwin then fired the gun – a vintage-style Colt revolver – which killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, 42. Hutchins was accidentally shot dead by Alec Baldwin on the set of his upcoming western movie “Rust”. The search warrant said that armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed laid out three prop guns and Dave Halls grabbed one gun from the cart and brought it inside to Baldwin, unaware that it was loaded with live rounds. He shouted ‘cold gun,’ a phrase used to indicate the gun was safe to fire, before giving it to Baldwin.
